Blog Giveaway - For England & St George

I knew something was odd when I noticed a lot of really big ENGLAND flags hanging out of the local pub this morning. Another Football event I thought grumpily....

Later, after a brief trawl of the morning news, I realised it was St George's Day, and England's National Day and I nearly missed it!

Not for us the celebrations of Ireland's St Patrick's Day or even a few 4th of July like fireworks. (St Georges day is more like a damp squib) The only place I really saw it being celebrated was at the aforementioned pubs (no surprises there!).

Good Ole Boris Johnson has been trying for ages to make St George's Day a public holiday, but then that fella, being a descendant of King George II & is as English as Roast Beef!
(Boris J's crusade is even amusing in a bizarre way because St George was not English, did not ever make it to England, and did not slay even his dragon in England!)

Ah well any celebration is better than no celebration so I feel it's my Patriotic Duty to Give Away some blog candy swag in Honour of St George!
So donning my Spangliest Dress and long white gloves:

You can choose from any of these fabulous prizes....

1) A Textured Heart Pendant with Your Choice of Stone Colour2) A Sterling Silver Ring Made to your Size with Either "Until the Seas Run Dry" or your own name stamped upon it.
3) TWO 10g Packs of Art Clay Silver for you to make your own Silver Jewellery and a few little extras to help ;)

The Rules:

- Just post underneath, leaving some contact details, and we'll enter you!
-Contest ends on 30th April (7 days)
-Contest open Worldwide :)
-Winner will be drawn on the 1st May and announced on the blog
PLEASE leave you contact details so we can tell you if you win.
If unclaimed after 7 days we'll draw again ;)

EXTRA Entries (each is one extra entry):
-Visit our shop, browse browse, browse, and settle upon a favorite. Come back and leave a comment on this blog entry, telling us what you liked and why.
-Blog about this giveaway on your own blog & leave us a link to your blog post (2 extra entries)
-Follow my blog. Old or new, and make sure to let me know that you follow.

So come on get entering - It's FREE & there will probably be a few extra gifts thrown in for good measure! ;)

~*Hello Nic!*~
Wow what a generous and inspiring event!

I really love the jewelry in the Etsy shop, so it was not easy to pick one favorite to tell you 'bout.
So I will tell you why I like several of the pieces- Although I do really like a few more. So you pick one from my list that you like best!
:o)
I will keep this short.

Daisy Daisy- It is simple, natural and I would wear it and could wear it with almost anything. It is both elegant and fun.

The penguin cufflinks- because they remind me of one of my all time favorite Sanrio characters of the 1990s Batz Maru.

Infinite Love Eternal-because it reminds me of what love should be.

Unique Birch Bark Necklace- because it really does look like Birch bark!

I do REALLY like a few more, but you said to choose one.

~*Thank you for letting me share with you!*~

Very cool! Thank you for the history lesson about St. George! I'd never really thought 'bout his never being to England before. I've always loved the paintings and art work done of him especially work by a fellow Brit. of yours by the name of Patrick Woodroffe. ST. George's day is my birthday, April 23rd.
I've always liked that. He slayed a dragon! That is pretty amazing!

OH! I have a kiln that I bought for glass bead making, so I would be super happy and delighted if I won silver clay to play with!
I could make beautiful and artistic CHARMS!!!

I also like your other prizes too!
But I ~*LOVE*~ to make charms!
:o)

~*This is FUN!*~

~*I wrote a blog entry about you, one of my favorite pieces in your shop, and added in the links from your etsy shop profile info here-

Hiya,

Bn watching all day and nothing here, but am starting to think you may post it in a top-secret location that I don't know about!!!! (sorry, not being cheeky, just poking fun at myself more than anything!) I'm desperate to know who the lucky person is - after all, it could be me!!! Waiting patiently (honest) ... Jo x

Lol - nope I did the draw last night using the travelodge kettle as my draw bucket. There were lots of pieces of paper :)
Then (after I typed out a long post my wifi went down).
So I'll have another go, just in case though the winner is Vintage Violet!!! So Congratulations VV :)
